The Carolinas Credit Union League is proud to announce Le’Trice Dye, credit admin processing fulfillment manager for Truliant Federal Credit Union (Winston-Salem, NC), and Elaine Sealey, branch manager for SAFE Federal Credit Union (Sumter, SC), as recipients
of the 2024 Heart of Service Award.
This annual award and scholarship, presented to graduating students of the League’s Leadership Development Institute (LDI), honors the memory of Members Credit Union employee and 2016 LDI graduate Eric
Stiff.
Selected through nominations by their classmates, instructors, and League staff, both Dye and Sealey accepted the award during the LDI Class of 2024 graduation ceremony on December 11 in Chapel Hill, NC. The award celebrates students who embody the traits
that defined Eric Stiff—compassion, a willingness to learn and grow, and a commitment to uplifting others.

Le’Trice Dye and Elaine Sealey, both praised for their dedication to leadership and community, expressed their gratitude for the recognition.
- “I am truly honored to receive this award,” said Dye. “I appreciate the Carolinas Credit Union League and LDI for making this opportunity possible. To my cohort, I am deeply moved by your recognition. It has been a wonderful experience meeting all
of you. Looking forward to our continued growth and success.”
- Sealey: “This was so unexpected, and I am very humbled to receive such an honor and recognition. Knowing that my peers choose me is a bit overwhelming. Each person that participated in this year’s class was just as deserving so I do not take
this lightly.”
The Heart of Service Eric Stiff Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 through a collaboration between the League, Members Credit Union, and the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation. Initial
contributions from the Foundation, League, PFP Services, and a $6,000 matching donation from Members Credit Union raised $12,000 to support the award’s funding. Each recipient receives a $2,000 educational scholarship, which can be applied toward
professional development opportunities within the credit union industry.
